Happy Birthday to me!!!!

I turned 2 yesterday! I got to spend the day with my friend, Maggie!  We had such a great time!!  We chased each other around the yard, slid across the icy deck, barked at car doors closing, had some yummy treats, and ran some more.

I'm sooo tired I can hardly type this!!

What a great day!!
Thanks Maggie!!

Yeah, so I did it...

I had to sneak on the laptop tonight because Single Girl has been less than impressed with me lately.  Yeah, so I've pooped in the house lately...twice in one day, once right after we had been outside on a potty run.

Yeah, so I've snapped at Madison, Madison's Mom, the Maintenance Man, and Destiny...so!

I heard Single Girl tell more than one person that she is giving up and asked if anyone wanted me.  That was not very nice seeing that I've been through a lot lately...3 moves, a new house, home alone in strange places...

Ugh.....

New Game

Hey, Friends!

I have a great new game that I've discovered!  Single Girl calls it "fetch." I don't know why I didn't want to play it sooner.

Tell all your friends!!!  It's a M.U.S.T. try!

New "Digs" #2

This blog is dedicated to my cousin, Lucy!

1. I want to apologize for forgetting you in my orginial blog.

2. I would like to thank you, cousin Lucy, for also helping.

3. You were so well-behaved that I forgot that you were even there!  Three Barks for you!!

New "Digs"

My absense from blogging is for a good reason. Since the last time I've written, Single Girl and I have packed up our house, packed up the cottage (our temporary home), and have moved into our new place.

Wow...is it different than the old place. Single Girl tells me that there is more square footage in the new place...not sure what that means exactly...I just know that there are NO stairs.  That's right, no stairs anywhere. None to go potty, none to do the laundry, none to go to bed....it's weird. How am I supposed to stay in shape with no stairs?

There is no big fenced in backyard for me to run; however, I do have a smaller area where I can run. So that's fine.  We now live in an apartment complex that Single Girl thinks is more like a condo set-up. She says that that means we have our own front door and that that is GREAT!  We live on the end so looking out the window it's like living in the country...tall trees, tall wild grass, a big field, and wild animals. The one thing I like about our new spot is that we have grass right outside our door so I don't have to walk far to...well...you know.

There are people who live above us. We haven't met them yet, but they are quiet. The place behind us is getting ready for new people. I hope they have a dog so I can make a friend.

Single Girl just told me today that she is proud of me for not barking as much as I did a few days ago. I guess that I'm just getting used to all of the noises. Don't worry though...I still bark when people are walking by the door or at the decorative flags blowing in the wind 2 doors down.

In other news, we are taking our house off the market and are going to rent it. Single Girl found a nice lady and her husband from Vegas who wanted to move back to the area.  I hear we get to meet them the end of Jan.  Well...at least I still own the house, so it's not like it's gone forever. Maybe I'll be able to visit them and run in my backyard.

I miss my friend, Maggie. There is no one here to play with and sometimes Single Girl is gone all day. Now, don't go calling anyone to report her, she comes home to let me out and then leaves again for work.  It's sad.  I might have to look after writing this entry to see if there is some place around here where I could go and play for a day with others. That would be cool.

As soon as Single Girl brings the camera home from work, I will hook you up with some pictures of the new place. For a new place...I like it.

Hope all is well with my readers.

Oh....and a shout-out of thanks to Doug, Mary, Lindsey, Harrison, Amy, Zach, Phil, and Maggie for helping with the move!  I owe you one.

My First Dance

I WENT TO MY FIRST DANCE LAST NIGHT!!

Single Girl had to work at a 7th/8th grade dance and I would not let her out the door without me. I had to go.

The music was AWESOME. The lighting, AWESOME. And all of the new friends that I made...I can't even count!

I mostly just sat and watched, but I did get on the dance floor for the Cha Cha Slide. I'm still singing it...Right Foot Stomp....

Single Girl said that for the whole night...the 5th/6th grade had some activities too....she sold 5 24 packs of soda!  Those kids were thirsty.

Just keep dancing!!

Almost Swept Away

Our walk today was INSANE!! The winds by the "bathtub" are around 50 mph, but we decided to go there anyway.
We couldn't go our one way down the beach, so we went up.  It started out just like any walk. We walked into the wind, the waves were crazy crashing, and there was another dead fish!  The cool part about this dead fish was that most of it's bones were sticking out.  So....I rubbed myself along it's backbone and had a great massage!!  Single Girl was mad at first...then noticed how much I liked it and let me do it until I was done.

When we were on our way back, out of nowhere, came a H.U.G.E. wave and pulled me in. I went in and Single Girl got wet up to her knees! Where it came from...I have no idea! I'm just thankful that Single Girl had me hooked up or I would be swimmin' with the fishies!!

We finished our walk soaking wet and dodging waves...but what an adventure.
I now come to you from infront of a fireplace...sweating.
Life is good.

Fish and Turtle

Quite and adventrue on our walk today. Single Girl and I were walking by "the big bath tub" when I saw a big fish. This fish was just lying there. Dead. I wasn't scared. I went right up to it...sniffed it...WOW...did it stink!

Kept walking...another dead fish.

Kept walking...another dead fish.  The crazy part...none of these fish were little...they were twice as long as I am. (And I'm over 15 inches.)

When we were on our way back I noticed a different type of smell. I went up closer...a little baby turtle. He was trying so hard to get to the water..but just wasn't getting there. I pointed him out to Single Girl and she picked him up and put him in the water. Well, the poor thing was soooo little that the water tossed, turned, flipped, and twisted him for minutes and eventually put him back on the beach.

Single Girl decided to pick him up and was going to bring him home with us.  Well, as we were walking she found an inlet and decided to place him in there. He seemed to be doing ok as we left.  Just keep swimming little buddy!!!

Many Changes

So it's been almost a month and a half since my last entry and wow have there been changes to my life. I am so sorry to my loyal readers for the absense: adjusting to our new life is brain draining.

Since my last entry:

*Single Girl has a month and a half in at her new job. She REALLY likes it. She comes home every day telling me that she is starting to grow on the students (not sure exactly what that means...) and that she has super support.

*We stayed with Sara and the bunnies for awhile and are so thankful to them for hosting us. One thing I can tell you about living in a condo is that the family next door always had my attention and I wanted to participate in their fun. I voiced my opinion about that constantly!! I like the quiet of a house better. But without Sara and the bunnies, the first month of transition would not have worked.

*After staying with them, Single Girl was offered the use of a cottage right by a big bath tub. (She calls it "the beach" or "Lake Michigan") I just know that it is a great quiet place with no loud high-pitched noises driving by. Single Girl says that we will be here until we can find a nice place of our own.  I just know that if I could stay here...I would.

*I spent a week at my BFF, Maggie's, house for a week. Single Girl wasn't going to be home at night so I got to have a mini reunion.  It was sooo much fun. Miss ya Maggs.

*I met a nice guy, Dr. Getson, who helped me get rid of a tick. Single Girl found the tick and tried to take it out....well, she got the body and half of the head...enter Dr. Getson.  He was super nice and told me that I could come back every day because I'm sooo good!  I might have to talk to Single Girl about that seeing that there seemed to be tons of smells that I still need to check out there.

*Yesterday I spent the day with Single Girl and some of her students at her school. We were doing a Metal Recycle Drive.  There were lots of loud crashes and stuff, but the kids that I met were super nice and made me forget that I was out in the wind all day.  I hope that I get to see them again.

*Single Girl wants me to let you all know that she is fine and if anyone would like to come and help with laundry or dishes she would love it.

Hope all is well with all of my readers.  I PROMISE to not have so much time pass before my next entry.

Ruff, Ruff

P.S.   If you ever go out for a walk by the big bath tub...watch out for the water...it sneeks up on you.  Scary.

Big Happenings

Hey, Readers!
Sorry that I've not been on the blog scene lately...there have been some BIG happenings going on!

Let me try to sum them up...
1. Single Girl took a week long trip to the Bahamas with her friend, Amanda, and had a great time! With her out of the country I got to spend a week with my bestie, Maggie!  We had great fun!

2. While Single Girl was out of country she was offered another job and she accepted.  She has left her job to take on a 5-12 Band ONLY position.  She is super happy yet nervous.

3. This past Wednesday we put our house on the market. Anyone want a cute little house. I love my house, but with the new job...we are going to have to relocate.

4. I learned the other day that Single Girl and I will not be staying at our house during the week...we will be staying with our friends Sara, Ethel and Louie! (That way Single Girl won't have to drive so far every day.)

5. I met Ethel and Louie the other day.  I Love Rabbits...I just hope that we get along.

And...

6. Single Girl and I can't be in our house on Saturday because our friend, Brian, is hosting an open house. I'm not sure exactly what that means...but Single Girl says that we hope to get at least one person to come and look at our house.  Huh.... I better make sure to pick up my treats so no one takes them!!

Thanks For A Great Week Lucy

Today before Lucy Puppy left we went and swam in Maggie's pool! Great time...again!!

We then came back to my house and had a small piece of Cinnamon Pizza to end our fun week.

Thanks for a great week of play and running!  I will miss you.

That's What Happens When You Roll

"Last Potty Call! Anyone need to go outside? Go Potty?" Single Girl says at 9:50 pm.

Lucy Puppy and I run to the door. We get hooked-up and out we go!

"Stella...over here! I've got a great smell!" Lucy barks.

We roll and roll and roll.  Single Girl tried to stop us, but we just couldn't help it.

We get done, go in the house, get unhooked and get tricked into the bathroom. The rest..well...

Enjoy this pic. It's the only one you're going to get!  Keep looking for a way out Lucy!

Stella...where are you going?

Do I look like I'm happy? Lucy...did you find our way out yet?

Stella, don't leave me in here all by myself! (Sad face)

Rock it! We did it! Way to jump! Ya, you too!

Yep, that's what happen when you roll!

Swimming in the BIG Pool

Single Girl dropped Lucy Puppy and I off at my BFF, Maggie's, today. We had a great time. We ran and ran and ran and ran: chasing each other and sometimes ourselves. Ha!

To end the day we went swimming in the BIG Pool! We had a great time. The best part...when Lucy was lifted out of the water but her front paws kept paddling. It's like she couldn't stop. It was great.

Anyway, here are some pics of our adventure! Enjoy!!

And finally....

Thanks for a great day at your house, Maggie!

A Week With My "Cousin"

Lucy Puppy is here this week. Her humans went on vacation so she gets to stay with me!!!

When Single Girl told me that I was hosting...I wasn't that excited. Lucy Puppy is 3 months younger than me, but she doesn't like to play. I didn't know WHAT we were going to do.

Well, the first night we hardly slept! We were excited to be together. (It had been 3 weeks since our last sleepover). Up the stairs down the stairs back up back down. It was fun!  The last 2 days has been all play. SHE PLAYS! And the best part...sometimes she even throws the first paw!!  I've taught her well.

Tonight Single Girl wanted us to try a pear. Ummm, gross. Lucy Puppy loved it! So she got that and I got my banana! Yummers!!

Well, off to play again!

Ruff, Ruff

p.s. If I haven't informed you before...Lucy Puppy and I are cousins in 2 ways. #1 We come from the same breeder. #2 Well, our humans are sisters. :)

One of my friends died today...

This Spring and Summer I have had the best two buddies a girl could ask for. I'm not going to tell you their names, but they are bunny siblings. I have watched them grow and we have run around the yard. They would wait for me in the yard and as soon as I would see them we would run around the garden...lap 1, lap 2, lap 3, lap 4 and they would disappear into the flowers. We would play hide-n-seek and they would always win.
What good times.

Today, I found one of the siblings laying on their belly under the lilac bush. She had a broken back leg. I had to let Single Girl know that my friend was hurt. I barked and barked and barked and she finally came. She looked and told me that there was going to be nothing that we could do for my friend.  She took me in the house so she could do more research! NO! I WANT TO BE BY MY FRIEND!

Single Girl came back to get me. Yes! HANG ON FRIEND, I'M COMING! I ran to my friend. She was in some pain, but hanging in there. I noticed as I was guarding her that Single Girl was crying. I wasn't sure why (if only I knew was was coming.)

OH!! BFF Maggie and her mom and dad are here!!! Maggie, come and see my friend. Then the next thing I know Maggie, her mom and Single Girl are by the house...and Maggie's dad is going by my friend with a big shovel. Single Girl calls it a spade.  I didn't know what was going to happen and I'm not going to get into details, but I want you to know that I stayed by my friend the whole time and she is now at peace.

Single Girl took me in the house and I only wanted to go back out: where I last saw my friend. Why won't you let me out! WHY! WHY! WHY!

Good-bye my friend. Thank you for all of the fun times. I promise to take care of sibling.

Creepy Shadow With A Light

11:20 pm.
As I'm looking out the upstairs bedroom window, I see it: a creepy shadow with a light. I run down the stairs and bark. Nothing. I bark again. Nothing. I bark louder. Finally! Single Girl comes down the stairs and says, "You need to go potty again? We were just out!"

I run to the door and wait for her to hook me up. (At night she puts me on a leash so I don't sniff adventure for 20 minutes.)  Out the door we go! I'm pulling her behind me as I run to the backyard.

"Come On!" I bark.  There it is! I see it. The creepy shadow with the light. She doesn't see it yet and is still talking to me about going potty.

I alert the whole neighborhood that there is something strange going on! I don't let up. Single Girl still doesn't see it! (I think it's selective sight.) "HELLO!!! CREEPY THING WITH A LIGHT!!!"

Finally after screaming it at her she sees it! She tells me that it's a guy checking his tomato plants. I don't believe it! Why would he be doing it with this little light? I keep letting the neighborhood know the scoop!

All of a sudden, the shadow moves and a big bright light turns on. The creepy shadow now looks like a human and goes through a door. He's gone. I let everyone know what has happened. Single Girl keeps yelling at me, "No bark!" and taps my face. Why? I MUST LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS CLEAR OF ALL CREEPY THINGS!

I do a watch for a minute or two and everything seemed well so I lead Single Girl back into the house.

Back upstairs I go to the window: yep, the creepy thing with a light is gone! Crisis Averted.

Ruff, Ruff!

H.O.T.

I went out for my potty break. It was around 1:00 pm. I did my thing, did my sniff adventure for a few minutes and then had to lay down. Right in the sun. I couldn't go on...I couldn't even go to the gate.

I'm glad that Single Girl came to get me. She carried me in. I'm now in the air conditioned house. Ahh!

No worries, I'm fine. Just remind me that when it's 110 degrees heat index to not do a sniff adventure. EVER!

My Favorite Time of Day

This morning I realized that I have a favorite time of day. It's in the morning on days when Single Girl doesn't have to work. We both wake up, I snuggle in by her, she strokes my head, and we discuss what the day will hold.

I love it when I snuggle my face in the crease of her neck and she pats me.

What is your favorite time of day?

Flying Stars

Single Girl took me out to go potty tonight and I saw them: flying stars. They were everywhere. They were flying in front of me, behind me, next to me, everywhere. I tried to talk to them, but they wouldn't respond. I spoke louder...no response.

Single Girl came out to see what I was yelling about. I tried to tell her, "Don't you see them? The flying stars?" She said, "Oh, do you see them? The fireflies. Aren't they pretty."

They were. I couldn't take my eyes off of them. I tried to get to them, but they kept disappearing.

Single Girl picked me up and slowly carried me to the house while I watched the pretty flying stars. I hope I get to see them again soon.

Oh Yeah...

7. I H.A.T.E. apples or anything that has to do with apples: apple treats, applesauce, apple smoothies, apples as baby food.  Why? When I was little, I ate almost a whole Granny Smith. The next day I spent the whole day throwing-up stomach acid. Apples = Gross!

8. I love to sit like a person. Don't you?

Ruff, Ruff!!

Some Thoughts

Normally my posts have a certain direction or theme. Today I would just like to share a few thoughts.

1. Single Girl took me for a walk on sand. Wow, did that feel weird between my paws. She then lead me to the lake. She tried to get me to go in. Ummmm, NOoooo. I will take a bath, but that's about it. I did however love rolling on the dead fish that were there!

2. Not only will I not go into a lake, you will not get me to swim in a baby pool. Again, bath only!

3. I will always protect anyone from those sparkley fireworks. I will sit at your side and make sure that nothing gets you. Just give me a call.

4. My anal gland wounds are healed! I kept licking them because they itched, so Single Girl got me some tranquilizers! Wow....they were great!!

5. I can't wait for Friday! I get to host my first sleep-over with my BFF Maggie! Maybe we'll post some pics...if they're not too illegal. Ha!

6. Single Girl was talking to her sister about if dogs can be right pawed or left pawed. Then they started to observe me. I don't know why they just didn't ask...I'm left pawed! Duh!

Cone of Shame...(Warning...Butt Picture Included!!)

Well, the surgery is complete. I no longer will be called "Fish Butt" as my anal glands are gone.

The surgery went really well. Dr. Harmon said, "This was the easiest anal gland removal we've done." Of course it was, it was ME...Stella Puppy!!

I don't know if any of you have had stitches, but mine really itch. Because of the itching, Single Girl brought home the "Cone of Shame."  I've had it on twice, for short periods of time, because it causes me anxiety.  Single Girl is nice enough to give me a break with it, but she tells me that she got it for me "because she loves me."

Below I am going to share a few pictures. You will see some pictures of the "cone of shame" and one of my fabulous bum. It's great to know that I will hardly have a scar.  **Note, it's not that I'm happy about putting my bum up for everyone to see. I'm doing it so others can see that if Stella Puppy can do this, anyone can do it.

If you look close you can see two little slits, one one each side of my anus. That is where they took out my anal glands.

Dogfest 2011

Just got back from Dogfest 2011.
I've never been to anything like it in my life. There were like a BILLION dogs there. I like dogs, but wow...I think that I needed some anxiety meds.
Every place I looked...dog. Most of them...bigger than me. They could have had me for lunch. I came up to their ankle. I did not show fear though. I walked with my head held high. At some points, Single Girl would pick me up. She just knew that I was a little over-whelmed. (Love Her)

The best part of my day was when we were walking and these two ladies said, "Oh. My. God. What a beautiful dog!"  I knew they were talking about me. I just knew. I was the only dog walking by (believe it or not). Single Girl stopped and talked to them for awhile. I have no idea what they were saying...something about rescue dogs. I heard, "blah, blah, blah, Stella is beautiful. blah, blah, blah, She is so well behaved. blah, blah, blah, She is just so beautiful."  Then we said good-bye to those ladies.

We were so busy looking at all of the dogs that Single Girl and I didn't get many pictures, but here are a few.

Look out, here comes Stella Puppy and the Police!

You think I'm kidding?!

Saying good-bye to Dogfest 2011.

I love the open air!

Look at all of my goodies I brought home!

That's all for now. I'm so mentally exhausted I'm going to fall asleep while typing.

Ruff, Ruff!

Oh...Single Girl told me that next year she's going to have me run around a circle, like I do at Maggie's, so they can test my speed with a radar gun!  I better practice...after my nap!

Something Personal

I am only going to share this to help others.
It is a very embarrassing topic for me to talk about.

Anal Gland Expression.

I know that most dogs don't have a problem with this, but I do.
It leaves me have a fishy smell back there.

Single Girl does everything that she can to help me not smell, from a soapy washcloth clean-up to taking me to the vet.

Well, after a trip to the vet today, Single Girl told me that we are going to take care of the "fishies" forever. She has scheduled me for surgery on the 22nd to remove my glands.  I'm a little nervous, but really excited. I don't like being referred to as..."Fishy Butt" or "Fish Butt" or "Stink Butt."

If you have that fishy smell back there, there is a treatment...and you can get help.

Ruff, Ruff!

I Figured It Out!!

I figured out how to get more banana!!

To all of my four-legged friends....use this...it works!!!

Single Girl gives me a piece of banana...I take it to another room, wait a second and then go back to her.

She gives me another piece, thinking that I have already finished!  HA! I'm just hording until she stops handing it out!!

When she finally figures it out, I have 3 pieces of banana waiting to enjoy at all one time!!!

Enjoy your treat..all in one sitting!!

4 Paws WAY UP!!!!!

Single Girl came home with a special treat for me today!
I L.O.V.E.D. IT!!!! (in fact, as I type this, I'm taking little breaks and licking the bowl, the floor around the bowl (not that I spilled a drop) and licking the air looking for any last drop of this great stuff.

Single Girl says it's puppy ice cream! I don't care what it is....it's awesome!!!!

BRB  (Be Right Back....)

Ok, I'm back....I had to go to the freezer and get the info on what this great goodness is.

So...The box says....Purina......Frosty Paws!

If you're a human, get this great treat for your four-legged friend...if you're that four-legged friend, demand that your human get this!  It's a great summer treat!

I love you Single Girl for this treat.
I'm off to see if I missed a spot in my bowl.

Busy Day

It might be a long weekend meant to have fun, but wow did Single Girl and I work today: and we're still not done.

*Woke Up
*Woke Single Girl up by licking her face...well, ok...her mouth!  :)
*Checked our Facebook
*Went to the music store and ran around. Not Single Girl, Andy or James could catch me running by the guitars, next to the sheet music, under the instruments, and right next to the bumper stickers!
*Stopped at Culver's for a Lemon Cooler...raspberry that is. Two paws WAY UP!!
*Went to Kohls for Single Girl to get a swimsuit. (She said it was for her trip, but not to worry, that she would come back.) Not sure what that all means.....but I already don't like it!
*Came back home only to fill the car with things to take to St. Vincent's. Single Girl said that we are giving things away that we don't use for other to get at a WAY cheaper price than what we got it.  I like that idea.
*Came back home...again...only to this time fill the car with YARDWASTE. I didn't mind...except for...THERE WAS NO PLACE FOR ME TO SIT. At least Single Girl let me sit on her lap on the way to the Yardwaste place.
*Came back home...don't worry...we stayed this time....but...we weren't done yet. WE......
*Cleaned and organized the garage.
*Organized the Angel Room. (Spare Bedroom)
*Organized the Pantry.
*Put away the dishes and loaded the washer.

And....
We're not done yet!

Single Girl says that before bed we need to put away all of our clothes that are sitting in laundry baskets.
Ugh!
Can't we just rest!

I'll report in tomorrow....
If I'm still kickin'!

What is that thing...

I heard it first. Then I saw it. As I watched it, it just kept going all around the window.

Single Girl just kept saying, "What is it?"  Ummmm... I don't know.

I watched it for at least 2 minutes, up the window, down the window, across the window.  WON'T YOU JUST SIT STILL YOU THING.

While I watched it I came up with this...

What are you thing?
Is that a wing?
You are black.
Too high to wack.
If only I knew,
how you flew
With that buzz
that you does!

WI DELLS...Craft Mall

Single Girl and I were on our way home from the country when Single Girl stopped at the Craft Mall in the Dells. She told me that she would be right back: that she needed to pick up a yummy smelling candle.

Well, she came right back...candle in hand. She asked me if I wanted some water and then came around to my door, the passenger one.  She opened the door to get me my water and I did it.....

I JUMPED OUT!!!!!

WOOOO  HOOOOOOO!!!!!  SNIFF ADVENTURE!!!!!!!!

Through the parking lot, around the hay bails, on and around the wood furniture, stop for a drink at the cat dish.....the whole time running AWAY from Single Girl and the other ladies and one guy who were trying to stop me from having my adventure. I wanted an adventure...and that's what I got.

Needless to say, Single Girl was REALLY upset. She even got in the car, TWICE, telling me that she was going to leave. I knew better. She was never going to leave without me....she loves me too much.

I'm proud to say that it only took 5 people to finally catch me...40 minutes later!!!

I like the Craft Mall. I hope I can go back soon.

B.E.S.T. Adventure of my life!!

So, Single Girl had this great idea to take me for a ride on her new bike. She said, "Look, Stella, you have your own place to sit! Isn't it exciting!" Ummm....sitting in a basket, infront of a bike, going down the gravel driveway at 2,000 miles per hour is not my idea of a good time!

I stayed in the basket for 1/4 of a mile and then I jumped. Ouch....I landed on my head and ran. I ran for the hills...in this case, the bluffs.

What Single Girl didn't know was that I was about to take her on a mile adventure!! OMG! The smells...gravel, cats, deer, ducks, fox, turkey, pheasants, racoons, grass, rain, mud, fish (that's right...I said fish...I was by a creek) worms, trees, plants, bunnies, squirrels, birds...  I.T. W.A.S A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!!!!!!! (Well, for me at least.)

Single Girl kept following me...trying to get me to come, but I was going to have nothing of it! The Country! No Leash! Freedom!!! The next thing I see is Doug, Single Girl's Dad, try to round me up! Ha! You can't get me either!

That's right you two...watch me run!!!!!

Oh...Hello....Shortie...(cat).....That's right......Up the tree you go!!!!

Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Crap! I'm trapped. Doug and Single Girl got me.
Into the bathtub I go.
Don't you worry though...I'm going to try again tomorrow!!

Great Smell

Our walk took us down by the river tonight. As we were walking, this great smell over-came me...I stopped, took in a great whiff and loved it soooooo much I rolled my whole body in it!!!! The next thing I know...Single Girl is yelling at me and pulling at my leash..."WHY ARE YOU ROLLING IN CARP DISPOSAL FLUID?!!!!"

Well, I didn't know exactly what carp disposal fluid was...but it was great! She didn't seem to think so. Needless to say...I got a bath when I got home.

Until the next time I get to smell that great aroma again....

My Backyard Neighbors

Well, I see them talking to me all the time through the glass. I talk back, but in the last year, we've never really spoke...until tonight.

Tonight, I finally met Roco and Tucker. Roco is the older one who said "hi" and then went off on his own sniff adventure. Tucker is all talk and no bite...if you know what I mean.

It was nice to finally meet them. Hopefully we'll get to talk again soon.

OPIE

Single Girl and I were out for our walk today when this big dog down the street, Opie, decided to bark at me. Now...Opie, like I stated, is a BIG dog: we're talking like 8 times my size.

As I walked closer...he kept barking. Well, I was going to show him that I wasn't scared. As I approached him I walked right up and gave him a big kiss. He was speechless. That's right, YOU CAN'T BULLY ME BY YOUR SIZE OR THE LOUDNESS OF YOUR BARK!

He stared at me for a while, in silence, and I walked away. As Single Girl and I continued down the street he started barking again. That's right Opie, scare someone else!

Anyone else want to try?

W.A.L.K.

Single Girl and I have gone on a w.a.l.k. for the last 13 days.

She told me a few days ago that we going to participate in a challenge...to w.a.l.k. for at least 30 minutes everyday for the next 100 days. She never really said why, but that it was our challenge.

I like going for a w.a.l.k. . (Oh, I suppose you're wondering why I'm spelling the word rather than just saying it. Well, if I say it, Single Girl gets all excited and we need to go right away. But, if I spell it....well, you know.)

So...today on our outing we met a cute little boy. He was about the size of me. He wanted to pet me: I let him. Then Single Girl for some reason said, "Stella, sit." Not only did I sit, but the little boy did to. It was funny. (I don't think his name was Stella.) His Grandpa said that he follows directions well.  Wow! Better than I do sometimes!

If you ever want to walk with me, just let me know. I'm not that good at math, but I think we have a few days left to hit our mark.

Surprise!!

I wanted to let everyone know that I left Single Girl a surprise. She found it this morning!  Wow, was it fun to see the look on her face!

Here's how it went...We got up, Single Girl brushed her teeth, opened the shower curtain to start the shower and TAH-DAH...."STELLA! WHEN....HOW.....WHEN DID YOU PEE IN THE BATHTUB? Augh, at least it's not on the carpet."

The best part is...I'm not going to ever tell how I got in the tub, how I got out, or when I did it!

I think that is the best surprise I've given Single Girl yet!

March 27, 2011 ... A Very Special Day

I would like to take this opportunity to say, "Happy Adoption Anniversary, Single Girl!"

It was one year ago that Single Girl came and picked me up and brought me home to be her roommate! I'm so glad that she picked me.

We have had so much fun! Some things have been a little stressful, but overall, it has been the best year of my little life.

I would like to post some pics of this great year!  Enjoy!!!

On my way to Single Girl's house. We had just met. I had just puked all over. I was so scared.

Single Girl cleaning me up after my 5th puke during the way home. She followed this up with giving me some pepto to make me feel better. I should not have been so worried.

Wow! Look how little I was when I got here. Oh...and no I'm not smokin' and yes I still love these!

I could slowly go up...but down...that was another story.  Now...I jump down 3 at a time!

Here my front teeth had fallen out so my tongue wouldn't stay in my mouth. I hated it!

My BFF, Maggie, and I got to help do some landscaping! I love playing in the dirt: just like Single Girl!

I got to go swimming for the first time in my life. Loved it! Can't wait to do it again!

I got to meet my new cousin, Lucy!

I was getting big and learning how to jump on things! I love barking at people walking outside!

Look at me! SO BIG!

Oh, and who can forget the Chicken Legs!

My first snow! After some thought....Love it!

My 1st birthday!

Me giving Single Girl the "Potty Stare!"  It's called....get off your butt and take me potty!!

AND FINALLY...

Me and my Single Girl!  I love you!

Saturday Night Popcorn

I L.O.V.E. popcorn!
That is all.
(And yes, I have a bowl for it. It's also for carrots. Single Girl doesn't want to vacuum up my crumbs every day.)

Ummmm...Yeah!
Single Girl taking over.
Sorry for the above.
Stella Puppy just got back from a tooth extraction and she wanted to tell you about it.

As you can see, she's not quite herself. In fact...1. she needed extra gas and 2. she's on vicodin. She puts her head up and then she flops back down.

I think she's down for the count until tomorrow.

I'm sure she'll let you know more when she's back to normal.

Another Way Out

Well, I did it again. (I wonder how many times a dog can say that in a blog?) I got out of the yard. This time however, Single Girl was not mad. I'm not sure why, but she didn't yell. Maybe she was just so happy that I wasn't hit by a truck that she forgot to yell.

So, you ask how I got out this time? That's simple. It's actually kind of weird that I didn't notice this sooner. Take a look.

Yep! Up and over I went.

Smart...yep!
Sniff Adventure...yep!
Can go potty by myself ....not a chance!!

Four Hour Tour

So, I'm not exactly sure how to start this entry. I can tell you that it will have more pictures than my other ones, that I was not the co-pilot to Single Girl (which made me unhappy) and that I've been to the homestead and back (she tells me that it's 8 hours round trip) and it's only been 48 hours.

Here is what I know.

I was sitting in the backseat of the car because I was booted by Single Girl's sister. Grrrrrrr. The next thing I know...there are white bubbles all over the car. I couldn't see anything!

Lucy was the smart one; hiding in her carrier. It's a shame that Single Girl didn't bring mine. Then again, I probably would have been watching everything anyway. I LOVE adventure.

As I'm watching the bubbles, out of nowhere comes these crazy bright things that make the bubbles go away. WTH? Scary  :/

Wait! What is that noise? It sounds like the big trucks that go past my house! Seriously, WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON AND WHERE THE HECK AM I?

Huh? Well, I don't know what it was, but I WON! So long to you!!!

Single Girl doesn't know about the following 3 pictures, so don't tell her! Lucy and I were having some fun with the camera!!!     Bllllaaaahhhhhh!!!

Fruit Roll-Up or my tounge? Hah! My tounge! Can you do this?

Lucy likes to call this.....How you doin'?

A few minutes later....after we had taken the pictures, Single Girl and Sister come back and "pack us in." Really? It isn't bad enough that you took my seat away?!

I was not going to take this laying down. Lucy on the other hand....well......

I decided instead of shouting about loosing my seat and being surrounded by triple layer toilet paper I would try to talk calmly about it.  As you can see, again, Lucy......really didn't care that we were being backed into a corner.

Needless to say, Lucy is passive and just wanted me to sit down.

By Demand

Single Girl came home from work today and told me that people have been asking about where my blog entries have been.

Well, my readers....HERE YA GO!!!

Here are a few things that have been on my mind...
1. Ever since my accident Single Girl keeps telling me that I have "stinky breath." I'm not sure what that means, but it can't be good and I don't like how it sounds. I hope she finds something to help me fix this problem.

2. I have made my appointment to have my tooth pulled. (The one that was injured in the accident.) Single Girl keeps telling me that when I smile I'm going to have to keep my mouth shut. She doesn't want me looking like a "hick." I'm still not sure what that is.

3. I REALLY need to see Lisa for a Cut/Massage/Pedi. If Single Girl doesn't get on the ball, I'm calling myself.

4. I just ate a whole bowl of carrots. Yep...a whole bowl. We'll see what happens with that later.  :)

5. Tomorrow I get to go to Maggie's for a playdate. It's Single Girl's last late night at school for a long time. I'm excited. I like it when she's home with me.

6. I also just found out that I get to go back to the farm to say hi to the cats, run in the snow, and watch Single Girl's Mom and Dad sing and dance. I hear that the last time this happened, her mom dressed up like a banana.  Weird....I think so.  I'm so excited for a road trip and to say hi to One-Eye and Shorty!!

Well, Single Girl just told me that she needs the computer for some work so I better get going.  Until next time.

Thank You Made The Paper

As I told you in the last entry, I wanted Single Girl to write a thank you note, to the girls who saved my life, and put it in the paper. Well, SHE DID and it was in yesterday's paper!!

Take a look....

I sure hope they see it!!!
