Single Girl and I were on our way home from the country when Single Girl stopped at the Craft Mall in the Dells. She told me that she would be right back: that she needed to pick up a yummy smelling candle.
Well, she came right back...candle in hand. She asked me if I wanted some water and then came around to my door, the passenger one. She opened the door to get me my water and I did it.....
I JUMPED OUT!!!!!
WOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!! SNIFF ADVENTURE!!!!!!!!
Through the parking lot, around the hay bails, on and around the wood furniture, stop for a drink at the cat dish.....the whole time running AWAY from Single Girl and the other ladies and one guy who were trying to stop me from having my adventure. I wanted an adventure...and that's what I got.
Needless to say, Single Girl was REALLY upset. She even got in the car, TWICE, telling me that she was going to leave. I knew better. She was never going to leave without me....she loves me too much.
I'm proud to say that it only took 5 people to finally catch me...40 minutes later!!!
I like the Craft Mall. I hope I can go back soon.

B.E.S.T. Adventure of my life!!
So, Single Girl had this great idea to take me for a ride on her new bike. She said, "Look, Stella, you have your own place to sit! Isn't it exciting!" Ummm....sitting in a basket, infront of a bike, going down the gravel driveway at 2,000 miles per hour is not my idea of a good time!
I stayed in the basket for 1/4 of a mile and then I jumped. Ouch....I landed on my head and ran. I ran for the hills...in this case, the bluffs.
What Single Girl didn't know was that I was about to take her on a mile adventure!! OMG! The smells...gravel, cats, deer, ducks, fox, turkey, pheasants, racoons, grass, rain, mud, fish (that's right...I said fish...I was by a creek) worms, trees, plants, bunnies, squirrels, birds... I.T. W.A.S A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!!!!!!! (Well, for me at least.)
Single Girl kept following me...trying to get me to come, but I was going to have nothing of it! The Country! No Leash! Freedom!!! The next thing I see is Doug, Single Girl's Dad, try to round me up! Ha! You can't get me either!
That's right you two...watch me run!!!!!
Oh...Hello....Shortie...(cat).....That's right......Up the tree you go!!!!
Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Crap! I'm trapped. Doug and Single Girl got me.
Into the bathtub I go.
Don't you worry though...I'm going to try again tomorrow!!

Great Smell
Our walk took us down by the river tonight. As we were walking, this great smell over-came me...I stopped, took in a great whiff and loved it soooooo much I rolled my whole body in it!!!! The next thing I know...Single Girl is yelling at me and pulling at my leash..."WHY ARE YOU ROLLING IN CARP DISPOSAL FLUID?!!!!"
Well, I didn't know exactly what carp disposal fluid was...but it was great! She didn't seem to think so. Needless to say...I got a bath when I got home.
Until the next time I get to smell that great aroma again....

My Backyard Neighbors
Well, I see them talking to me all the time through the glass. I talk back, but in the last year, we've never really spoke...until tonight.
Tonight, I finally met Roco and Tucker. Roco is the older one who said "hi" and then went off on his own sniff adventure. Tucker is all talk and no bite...if you know what I mean.
It was nice to finally meet them. Hopefully we'll get to talk again soon.

OPIE
Single Girl and I were out for our walk today when this big dog down the street, Opie, decided to bark at me. Now...Opie, like I stated, is a BIG dog: we're talking like 8 times my size.
As I walked closer...he kept barking. Well, I was going to show him that I wasn't scared. As I approached him I walked right up and gave him a big kiss. He was speechless. That's right, YOU CAN'T BULLY ME BY YOUR SIZE OR THE LOUDNESS OF YOUR BARK!
He stared at me for a while, in silence, and I walked away. As Single Girl and I continued down the street he started barking again. That's right Opie, scare someone else!
Anyone else want to try?

W.A.L.K.
Single Girl and I have gone on a w.a.l.k. for the last 13 days.
She told me a few days ago that we going to participate in a challenge...to w.a.l.k. for at least 30 minutes everyday for the next 100 days. She never really said why, but that it was our challenge.
I like going for a w.a.l.k. . (Oh, I suppose you're wondering why I'm spelling the word rather than just saying it. Well, if I say it, Single Girl gets all excited and we need to go right away. But, if I spell it....well, you know.)
So...today on our outing we met a cute little boy. He was about the size of me. He wanted to pet me: I let him. Then Single Girl for some reason said, "Stella, sit." Not only did I sit, but the little boy did to. It was funny. (I don't think his name was Stella.) His Grandpa said that he follows directions well. Wow! Better than I do sometimes!
If you ever want to walk with me, just let me know. I'm not that good at math, but I think we have a few days left to hit our mark.
