New "Digs"

My absense from blogging is for a good reason. Since the last time I've written, Single Girl and I have packed up our house, packed up the cottage (our temporary home), and have moved into our new place.

Wow...is it different than the old place. Single Girl tells me that there is more square footage in the new place...not sure what that means exactly...I just know that there are NO stairs.  That's right, no stairs anywhere. None to go potty, none to do the laundry, none to go to bed....it's weird. How am I supposed to stay in shape with no stairs?

There is no big fenced in backyard for me to run; however, I do have a smaller area where I can run. So that's fine.  We now live in an apartment complex that Single Girl thinks is more like a condo set-up. She says that that means we have our own front door and that that is GREAT!  We live on the end so looking out the window it's like living in the country...tall trees, tall wild grass, a big field, and wild animals. The one thing I like about our new spot is that we have grass right outside our door so I don't have to walk far to...well...you know.

There are people who live above us. We haven't met them yet, but they are quiet. The place behind us is getting ready for new people. I hope they have a dog so I can make a friend.

Single Girl just told me today that she is proud of me for not barking as much as I did a few days ago. I guess that I'm just getting used to all of the noises. Don't worry though...I still bark when people are walking by the door or at the decorative flags blowing in the wind 2 doors down.

In other news, we are taking our house off the market and are going to rent it. Single Girl found a nice lady and her husband from Vegas who wanted to move back to the area.  I hear we get to meet them the end of Jan.  Well...at least I still own the house, so it's not like it's gone forever. Maybe I'll be able to visit them and run in my backyard.

I miss my friend, Maggie. There is no one here to play with and sometimes Single Girl is gone all day. Now, don't go calling anyone to report her, she comes home to let me out and then leaves again for work.  It's sad.  I might have to look after writing this entry to see if there is some place around here where I could go and play for a day with others. That would be cool.

As soon as Single Girl brings the camera home from work, I will hook you up with some pictures of the new place. For a new place...I like it.

Hope all is well with my readers.

Oh....and a shout-out of thanks to Doug, Mary, Lindsey, Harrison, Amy, Zach, Phil, and Maggie for helping with the move!  I owe you one.
